Family, friends bid emotional farewell as Alexx Ekubo Is buried in Arochukwu

Arochukwu in Abia State witnessed an abrupt halt in activity as family members, friends, workmates and other well wishers converged to say their goodbyes to the life of the renowned Nollywood actor, Alexx Ekubo at his burial ground on the 18th of June 2026.

The burial was an emotional affair where people paid their last respect to the dead actor by way of making emotional speeches, music, dance and cultural presentations depicting his rich culture.

Alexx Ekubo Okwaraeke was the name given to this famous actor whose talent, charisma and contributions towards the development of Nollywood were highly celebrated. The actor featured in many box office movies like Omo Ghetto: The Saga, The Bling Lagosians and A Sunday Affair.

Apart from his acting career, Alexx Ekubo also gained fame for his philanthropic deeds and advocacy leading to the award of various accolades for his contribution to the society.
