NNPCL slashes petrol price days after Dangote refinery reduction
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has cut its premium motor spirit price seven days after the Dangote Refinery decreased its petrol gantry price.
Market surveys conducted by DAILY POST on Tuesday morning revealed that the NNPCL fuel stations located in Abuja and other neighboring areas have cut their petrol to N1,260 per litre from N1,335.
It shows that the government-owned company has cut its fuel price by N75 per litre.
According to Central Post Nigeria, the new price has been introduced at the NNPCL fuel stations located on the Kubwa Expressway, Wuse Zone 6 (Berger), and Zone 4 in Abuja.
It should be noted that on June 16, the Dangote Refinery cut its petrol gantry price to N1,175 per litre, leading to a decline in retail fuel across the country due to lower crude oil prices.
