Nigerians scoop fuel after tanker spills contents on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

Nigerians turned out in their numbers to get hold of fuel on Saturday when the content of a tanker was spilled on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway near Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode Road.

Residents from the neighborhood, both men and women, turned up at the scene carrying buckets, jerry cans, and other such containers in order to scoop the spilled fuel.

They were seen scooping up the spilled fuel from the drainages where the spilled fuel had collected even in the face of the possibility of an outbreak of fire and/or explosion.

Meanwhile, the spillage caught the attention of officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, and Fire Service staff.

This is as they sought to control the situation.
