Rivers primaries: APC declares Wike’s ally, Chinda as Governorship candidate
Governorship Screening Committee for Rivers State under All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that Ogundu Kingsley Chinda is their choice candidate for governorship elections in the state after successfully conducting their governorship primary.
The announcement was made Thursday evening by the Committee chairman Bitrus Kwamoti after the collation of votes garnered from all wards in the state’s 23 local government areas.
Kwamoti confirmed in his announcement that Chinda emerged winner of the exercise having scored 268,497 votes and will thus be the party’s flag bearer in the governorship elections.
According to Kwamoti, the screening exercise conducted successfully without any hitches and he congratulated members of the party for maintaining high standards during the exercise.
