Protest will seize your govt if you don’t release Nnamdi Kanu, Primate Ayodele tells Tinubu

Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, is calling on the government to release the jailed leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

Ayodele issued the call while speaking to his church members via a video that was made available online over the weekend.

He explained that where the government decides to keep him in jail, it must take a step further to arrest the Muslim cleric Sheikh Ahmad Gumi too.

“Try and release Nnamdi Kanu ” he said.

Ayodele maintained that treating the two figures differently could raise questions about the government’s sincerity.

The cleric also warned that public protests could intensify if the government failed to address growing concerns among citizens.

“Protest will seize this Tinubu government,” he added.
