Davido gifts brand-new Tesla Cybertruck to Mayorkun

David Adeleke, a famous performer of afrobeats music under the name of Davido, has given his old friend and a former signer of his record label, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, who is better known as Mayorkun, an entirely new Tesla Cybertruck.

The artist made a public announcement about this nice gift through his Instagram Story account, posting there a photo of his new car and adding the message of his affection to his old friend.

Many of the fans got excited after learning about this news and gave praise to Davido for keeping such a good relationship with Mayorkun even after his leaving of DMW.

He wrote, “My gift to you. I love you #mayorkun,”

This gesture highlights the longstanding bond between the two music stars, whose relationship spans many years in the Nigerian entertainment industry. Mayorkun’s journey into mainstream prominence began in 2016 when Davido discovered him on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) after the aspiring act shared a cover of one of his songs.

Following that discovery, Mayorkun was signed to Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), where he quickly evolved into a powerhouse hitmaker, churning out chart-topping tracks like “Eleko,” “Mama,” and “Cheche.”

Although Mayorkun eventually transitioned out of the label setup to carve out an independent path for his career under major management frameworks, both artists have maintained a remarkably solid professional relationship and a strong personal friendship.

Over the years, they have frequently collaborated on music projects, supported each other’s independent ventures, and publicly celebrated mutual milestones.
