Akor Adams scores as Nigeria fall to Portugal in Friendly Match
The Nigerian Nigeria national football team was edged out by the Portuguese Portugal national football team 2-1 in an international football friendly match played between the two teams as the latter continues its buildup process for their forthcoming tournaments with yet another win.
A first-half strike from Pedro Neto gave Portugal an early lead after he scored for the Portuguese outfit to give the home team the early advantage as the game progressed.
However, the goal helped turn the tables momentarily in favor of the Nigerian team until the Portuguese came back and scored again through Francisco Conceição, who capitalized on a substitute opportunity and curled home a goal from outside the box.
With such an effort from both sides, it proved difficult for the Nigerians to score another goal to get an equalizer as the match ended 2–1 in favor of the host nation.
