APC disowns viral primary election results, labels them fake

All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed claims regarding the release of results of its primary elections, calling them fake.

This is according to the press statement that was released by the APC on Sunday, where the party stated that it has not made any official list of primary winners and warned party members and the public in general not to use any unauthorized publications.

This disclaimer was signed by Felix Morka, the APC National Publicity Secretary.

“The public is therefore advised to disregard any publication or report purporting to announce the outcome of the primaries, as such information is false and unauthorised,” the statement read.

The party assured that all successful aspirants will be notified officially through its recognized means of communication prior to issuing the Certificates of Return. The party equally called upon its members and the general public to depend only on its official APC communication medium for any information about the results of its primaries.
