Family members of the deceased actor, John Okafor, better known as Mr. Ibu, have called out for financial aid due to their tough times since the loss of their father.

Speaking through an interview with the famous personality on social media platforms, King Mitchy, the widow of the deceased actor said that they had been deprived of basic necessities such as water and electricity. She further went on to mention that the three young children of hers were not going to school anymore.

According to Stella Marris, wife of the late actor, they had been deprived of basic amenities and could no longer afford to keep up with them due to their tough circumstances.

Stella Marris has been struggling with paying the rent of their house which in turn led them to have limited access to clean water and electricity.

“We fetch water from the well, because I haven’t been able to pay the house rent. They’ve even cut off my light for two months now. We have been like that since. Every night we go to look for where to charge our phones. It’s not easy.”

According to the family, their 14-year-old daughter and two sons, aged 12 and 10, are no longer attending school because they cannot afford the fees. As such, Mr Ibu’s daughter, alongside her mother, expressed gratitude for her mother’s efforts to care for the family despite the challenges. She also appealed to actors, filmmakers, and others who worked closely with her late father to come to their aid.

“I want to thank God for my mum, she tries everything she can to feed us, pay our school fees. If you’re in the industry with my dad, you see us now, please come and help us.”
