Natasha Osawaru, who is a member of the Edo State House of Assembly and former wife of Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has attracted reactions after making introduction of herself by her maiden name Osawaru and not the name of her husband Idibia.

In a video posted on her Instagram page, Natasha introduced herself as “Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru.”

She said, “Mr Speaker, my name is Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osawaru, member representing the very great people of Egor Constituency and, by God’s grace, the minority leader of this House.”

The couple’s relationship came under scrutiny in August after Natasha made an unexpected appearance at an Abuja nightclub where the singer was scheduled to perform.

A video that circulated online appeared to show the couple engaged in a heated exchange.

Speculation about a possible rift between them intensified after Natasha was absent from 2Baba’s 51st birthday celebration in Victoria Island, Lagos.

It was attended by 2Baba’s children, his mother, Rose Idibia, and several entertainment personalities, including Kenny Ogungbe, Dayo “D1” Adeneye, Wande Coal, African China, Ayo Makun, Faze and Tony Tetuila.

Natasha’s absence further fuelled questions about the state of her marriage to the singer.

Neither Natasha nor 2Baba had publicly confirmed a separation or explained why she missed birthday celebration.
