Real Madrid complete signing of Marc Cucurella from Chelsea on 6-year deal
Marc Cucurella has signed with Real Madrid after leaving his former team Chelsea in preparation for the 2026/27 season and beyond.
Marc Cucurella has been identified as Real Madrid’s first signing during this summer ahead of their attempt to win back a trophy in the last two seasons.
The Spanish international defender has officially moved from Chelsea to Real Madrid according to a statement released by the Spanish capital club on the signing of a six-year contract from Real Madrid’s official website.
“Real Madrid C. F. and Chelsea FC have come to an agreement for the transfer of the player Marc Cucurella, which will link him to our club for the next six seasons, until June 30, 2032,” the statement said.
The 27-year-old defender is set to move to Real Madrid following his €60m deal with the Spanish international moving from Chelsea, where he played in four seasons, making appearances in 163 games. He helped Chelsea win the UEFA Conference League and FIFA Club World Cup in that period.
Marc Cucurella becomes the only member of Spain playing for Real Madrid who is competing at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament in Spain.
