Premier League unveils opening weekend fixtures for 2026/27 season
On Friday, the Premier League released the fixture list for the upcoming 2026/27 season. The champions Arsenal will play their first game at home against the newly-promoted Coventry City.
Coventry, led by former England midfield player Frank Lampard, will find themselves up against the defending champions in the very first game of the season at Emirates Stadium.
Manchester City, which was runners-up in last season’s league, will start their campaign with a game at home to Bournemouth.
Bournemouth had played an instrumental part in denying Manchester City from clinching the championship in the previous season.
Manchester United will be starting their campaign with a trip to the newly-promoted Hull City, while Chelsea will face their local rivals Fulham in a West London Derby.
The new Premier League season will begin on August 22, 2026.
The 2026/27 season will comprise of 33 weekends and five midweek rounds of games.

Hull City vs Manchester United – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 12.30pm
Everton vs Crystal Palace – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 3pm
Ipswich Town vs Sunderland – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 3pm
Nottingham Forest vs Leeds United – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 3pm
Brentford vs Tottenham Hotspur – Saturday, August 22, kick-off 5.30pm
Brighton vs Aston Villa – Sunday, August 23, kick-off 2pm
Manchester City vs Bournemouth – Sunday, August 23, kick-off 2pm
Newcastle United vs Liverpool – Sunday, August 23, kick-off 4.30pm
Fulham vs Chelsea – Monday, August 24, kick-off 8pm
