NDC gains ground in Kano as Hundreds dump APC
In preparation for the 2027 general elections, a number of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State have crossed over to the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).
The defecting members, who are mainly youths, were formally welcomed into the NDC on Sunday by the NDC’s Publicity Secretary in Kano State, Alhaji Yusuf Rabiu Fasaha, and the NDC State House of Assembly candidate for Kumbotso, Captain Nafe.
This defection is regarded as a major coup for the NDC in Kumbotso as the new members vow to stand firm and be loyal to the ideals of the NDC leading up to the 2027 elections.
In his comments at the occasion, Fasaha noted that this is an indication of how popular the NDC has become among youths in the state and he promised the defecting members that they will have equal opportunities within the party.
Similarly, Captain Nafe welcomed the new members and asked them to step up their grassroots mobilization efforts.
