EFCC arraigns Blessing CEO over alleged ₦36m fraud in Lagos

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC) has recently charged the famous social media personality, Blessing CEO, at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, over the ₦36 million fraud case.

Reports indicate that she appeared before the court on Thursday, 15th May 2014 over the allegations of obtaining money through false pretences and fraudulent conversion of funds.

According to the allegations by the EFCC, she obtained ₦36 million from Mrs Ifeyinwa Nonye Okoye, in the pretence of buying a six bedroom-detached duplex in Lekki, Lagos.

She is alleged to have converted the amount fraudulently for herself and not used for the intended purpose.

After charging her at the court, the presiding judge ordered for her remand at EFCC headquarters.

This case has been scheduled for June 5, 2014.
