Gunmen kill 4, injure 2 in Niger State

Four persons have been killed by unknown gunmen in Godoro and Angwan-Bisala villages of Katako district, Rafi local government area in Niger State, according to the Niger State Police Command.

According to spokesman for the police, SP Wasiu Abiodun, in a statement to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the attack took place on Wednesday, September 23.

Abiodun also disclosed that two other people sustained injuries during the attack and were taken to a hospital for medical treatment.

According to him, armed men attacked the two communities at about 1:30am, killing four people and leaving two others seriously injured.

He added that the police had visited the scene of the attacks and an investigation into the incident had commenced. (NAN)
