Latest Dollar to Naira exchange rate for July 6, 2026

The Nigerian currency (Nigeria Naira) was traded at ₦1,370.33/USD on Monday, 6th July, 2026, according to relative stability of the currency in the foreign exchange market in Nigeria.

According to the information available in the exchange rate window in the official market, the dollar was exchanged for ₦1,370.33/$ in the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM). The Central Bank of Nigeria gets the official daily exchange rate by taking the volume weighted average of the transactions completed at NFEM. In the parallel market which is also referred to as black market, the American dollar was sold at about ₦1,400/$, while the buying rate was around ₦1,385/$. Thus, there was only ₦30 difference between the two rates.

This indicates that the stability of the foreign exchange market has been maintained due to liquidity management policies and price discovery process in the market.

There may be slight variation in the exchange rates of the dollar in the parallel market from city to city and dealer to dealer depending on demand and supply.
