No casualties as fire breaks out at Lagos Airport terminal — FAAN
A fire breakout has been reported at the Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).
In a statement released on the X page of the organization on Sunday, the organization revealed that the Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) of the organization has responded to the situation and is working on containing the fire.
FAAN assured the public and passengers that there have been no casualties due to the incident.
“FAAN wishes to inform the public that a fire incident has occurred at Terminal 2 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
“The FAAN Aerodrome Rescue and Firefighting Service (ARFFS) is currently responding to the incident and working diligently to contain the situation.
“There have been no reported casualties or loss of life,” the statement read.
The authority added that further updates would be provided as more information becomes available.
