Labour Party fixes ₦50m for Presidential nomination forms ahead of 2027 elections

In what appears to be an early move toward preparation for the 2027 general elections, the Labour Party has set out its rules regarding the fee that should be paid by those who wish to run for the presidential slot on its platform in 2027.

According to the statement issued by the National Secretariat of the Labour Party, candidates for the 2027 Labour Party presidential slot should pay ₦50 million for the expression of interest and nomination form.

While it was not yet disclosed the exact timetable for its electoral processes in 2027, this new move shows early signs that the Labour Party is already preparing for the coming 2027 general elections.
