In what appears to be a huge political earthquake, at least 17 members of the House of Representatives have been reported to have jumped ship from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

The party defection was reportedly confirmed yesterday when the new members announced their defection in the course of plenary sessions in the National Assembly.

Those that defected from the ADC to NDC include Yusuf Datti, Uchenna Okonkwo, Adamu Wakili, Thaddeus Attah, George Ozodinobi, Lilian Orogbu, Oluwaseyi Sowunmi, Peter Aniekwe, Mukhtar Zakari, George Oluwande, Munachim Umezuruike, Emeka Idu, Jesse Onuakalusi, Ifeanyi Uzokwe, Afam Ogene, and Abdulhakeem Ado.

Another political defection occurred yesterday when Leke Abejide announced his defection from the ADC to All Progressives Congress (APC).

Central Post Nigeria reports that, this political earthquake comes shortly after another wave of party defection rocked the African Democratic Congress.
