Outrage as Saudi Arabia reportedly executes Bangladeshi couple over mosque kiss

Two Bangladeshi nationals, namely Nazrul Islam Abdul Basir and Siri Akhtar, have been reported to be executed in Saudi Arabia after being found guilty of an immoral act within a mosque in Mecca.

From information available from social media reports and viewed by Vanguard, it has been reported that the couple, who had visited Mecca for their honeymoon, were accused of forehead kissing inside the mosque.

The kiss was reported to be an expression of thanks for their marriage to Allah.

It has also been reported that the bodies of the couple have been sent back to Bangladesh in two coffins for burial.
