Rochas Okorocha, the former governor of Imo State and senator, is said to have been arrested by members of the Nigeria Police Force in Abuja based on charges of criminal conspiracy, forgery and impersonation.

According to information, Rochas Okorocha was arrested late on Monday night, 12th October 2026, at the REIZ Continental Hotel, Abuja.

The arrest reportedly followed his failure to honour repeated police invitations in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation, prompting the police to obtain a bench warrant for his arrest.

According to the account, the former governor was initially invited to the Force Headquarters in Abuja on September 2, 2026. However, the appointment was rescheduled to September 8 at the request of his lawyers, but he allegedly failed to attend on the rescheduled date.
