Police summon Senator Fadahunsi over alleged ‘Kill Accord’ comment ahead of Osun poll
Osun State Police Command has invited Senator Francis Fadahunsi of Osun East Senatorial District for allegedly threatening Accord Party members to “kill.”
The call came after an uproar following the comments by the senator on Tuesday during the APC campaign in Ilesa.
In a letter dated August 11, the police ordered Fadahunsi to report to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Osogbo, on Wednesday at 11:00am in order to explain the scenario behind the comments.
However, Fadahunsi’s camp says the comments made by the senator was metaphorical and he meant that his supporters should “defeat the Accord Party with votes and not violence” in the upcoming governorship election slated for August 15.”
