Sanwo-Olu appoints Prof. Badejo as new LASU Vice-Chancellor

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos State, has now sanctioned the appointment of Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawumi (née Faji) as the vice-chancellor of LASU.

This was officially announced on Wednesday, September 9, by Gbenga Omotoso, commissioner for information and strategy.

Professor Badejo is expected to take over from the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, who will leave office after five years at the helm of the university.

Her appointment marks a new chapter in the leadership of LASU as the institution prepares for a change in administration.

Olatunji-Bello, a professor of Physiology, previously served as acting Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the institution.
