2027: APC completes upload of governorship, State Assembly candidates on INEC portal

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that it has been able to upload all of its governorship and State House of Assembly aspirants to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Candidate Nomination Portal prior to the 2027 general elections.

The assertion was made by the party’s National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, in a statement that was released on Friday.

Yilwatda explained that the APC had been able to upload all its candidates for the governorship and state assembly elections to the portal in 100 percent fulfillment of a key objective of the party in preparation for the 2027 elections.

“I am pleased to announce that the All Progressives Congress, APC, has successfully achieved a 100% upload of all our 56 Governorship and Deputy Governorship, and 1,015 State House of Assembly candidates on the INEC Candidate Nomination Portal,” he said.

According to him, the successful completion of the exercise underscored the party’s readiness for the next phase of the electoral process.

“This milestone reflects the organizational strength of our great party,” Nentawe added.

The APC National Chairman further said that the ruling party would now shift its attention to engaging Nigerians ahead of the 2027 polls while promoting the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
