The Serie A titleholders Napoli FC have hired Massimiliano Allegri as the new manager of the club, following the exit of Antonio Conte from the managerial position.

According to the press release by the club posted on Friday, the former AC Milan coach, aged 58, is signed on a three-year contract until 2029.

“The Naples club welcomes Massimiliano Allegri as the first-team manager,” according to the statement released by Napoli.

This marks the return of the experienced Italian coach in management, having left his job at AC Milan after failing to lead the team to qualification to UEFA Champions League next season.

Allegri previously had two terms in charge of the Serie A powerhouses, Juventus, where he led the Turin-based club from 2014 to 2019 and again from 2021 to 2024.
