Edo Assembly: 2Baba’s wife Natasha emerges minority leader
Natasha Osawaru, the wife of musician 2Baba, is the new minority leader of Edo State House of Assembly.
Ms. Natasha Osawaru, who represents the Egor Constituency, was elected as the minority leader at the plenary session held on Monday.
The development comes after a thorough restructuring of the House leadership.
She was made the minority leader through the National Democratic Congress, NDC, party which she joined after defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in May 2026.
Speaking in a statement shared on her Facebook page, she said, “This new responsibility is not a title; it is a trust. Our democracy thrives on rigorous debate, accountability, and the courage to advocate for the ordinary citizen without compromise.”
Recall that this came amid her ongoing marital crisis with her husband, singer 2Baba.
