Osun Election: Oyebamiji, Oyetola cast votes in Ikire, Iragbiji

Bola Oyebamiji, who is running for governorship on behalf of All Progressives Congress (APC) party, and the incumbent Governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola, have voted in the ongoing governorship election.

Gboyega Oyetola, who is currently serving as the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, cast his vote in Ward 1, Unit 10, Iragbiji, in the Boripe Local Government Area.

On his part, Oyebamiji, together with his wife, was accredited and has voted in Ward 9, Polling Unit 011, Gantry Area, Ikire, in the Irewole Local Government Area.

This governorship election is taking place in the state where the people will elect the governor of Osun State.

The exercise is taking place across the 30 local government areas of Osun State, with voters electing the governor who will lead the state for the next four years.

Meanwhile, agents of the Accord Party and the All Progressives Congress, APC, were seen engaged in vote buying at AUD Primary School in Atile, Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area of the state.

It was observed that party agents stationed themselves around the polling booths to monitor the voters.

The move is to monitor voters and their ballot papers to ensure they cast their votes for their candidate.

It was further observed that as soon as a voter casts his or her vote, a party agent hands over a tag to enable the voter to claim their cash.

An Accord Party agent, Ajayi Ayodele, was seen accusing APC agents of clustering around the polling booths to monitor the ballot papers.

Aside from the APC, the ruling party (Accord Party) was also engaged in vote buying as he was seen directing voters to a destination after voting to collect their funds
