Osun Poll: INEC declares Adeleke winner of 2026 governorship election

The INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) has announced that the winner of the Osun State gubernatorial election held in 2026 is Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party.

He won against his rival contestants Bola Oyebamiji of the APC and Mr Salaam of the ADC in an election whose results in the 30 local government areas have been declared.

According to the results announced by INEC:

 Accord – Ademola Adeleke: 511,067 votes

 APC – Bola Oyebamiji: 444,815 votes

ADC – Najeem Salaam: 17,180 votes

The declaration brings an end to the keenly contested election, which had witnessed intense campaigns and political realignments in the days leading to the poll.

Adeleke’s victory means he will continue as Governor of Osun State for another term.
