Relief as kidnapped Oyo schoolchildren, teachers regain freedom

The kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire Local Government Area, Oyo State, have finally gotten their freedom back. 

The news broke out Friday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

Onanuga, in a verified post he posted on X, revealed that all the kidnapped persons have been successfully freed.

“All the kidnapped pupils and teachers in Orire, Oyo have been rescued by our security agencies. Finally,” he said.

At the time of submitting this report, the authorities had not made available any information regarding the rescue of the hostages, such as whether there was ransom paid or not.
