Music Promoter, Danku reveals how he was beaten on the street of Lagos for supporting Tinubu

The Nigerian music marketer Ijoba Danku has stated that he was attacked in Lagos, insisting that the assault was related to his open support for President Bola Tinubu and the ruling All Progressives Congress.

Known for being a promoter of up-and-coming artists in the Nigerian street-hop music industry, Danku reportedly suffered an assault in Illeshu on Friday, close to the New Afrika Shrine.

Giving his side of the story from the hospital bed through an Instagram post on his social media handle, he denied allegations that the assault was a simple act of robbery or street brawl.

“I was attacked yesterday on the streets of Illeshu by some boys simply because I support APC, Asiwaju 2027,” he said.

Further elaborating on his case, Danku stated that he was assaulted in a manner that led him to sustain injuries and damage to his vehicle.

As at the point of writing this report, no statement had been issued from the relevant quarters regarding the matter.
