President Tinubu would leave Abuja on May 2nd, Saturday, for a string of official visits to Kenya, Rwanda, and France.

Bayo Onanuga, the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, revealed this development through an official statement on Friday.

As highlighted in the statement, President Tinubu will first visit France before moving to Nairobi, Kenya, to participate in the Africa-France Summit that will hold next week.

Co-chaired by President Emmanuel Macron and President William Ruto, the Africa-France summit will center on energy transition, green industrialization, digital revolution, re-architecture of the international financial architecture, and climate change action plan.

His Excellency President Tinubu’s participation at the Africa-France Summit, from May 11th – May 12th., will reflect his administration’s determination to deepen strategic partnership with African countries and the French Republic.

In the Africa-France Summit, whose theme is “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” African and French leaders would deliberate on vital issues such as economic growth, climate resilience, infrastructure development, youth empowerment, technology innovation, and peace building in Africa.

Upon completing the summit in Kenya, President Tinubu is set to head to Kigali in Rwanda to participate in the Africa CEO Forum, an event that will run from May 14 to 15.

The Africa CEO Forum with the theme “Scale or Fail” will be the biggest meeting point of African private-sector luminaries, investors, and policymakers. It will emphasize the importance of scaling up and investing across borders for faster economic transformation.

Hosted in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the forum will have more than 2,000 high-profile business leaders and national leaders discussing ways of creating resilient and competitive industries.

At both summits, President Tinubu will address the delegates, outlining the ongoing reforms being implemented by his administration to position Nigeria as an ideal destination for investments.

He will also engage in meetings with top executives and policy makers from both Africa and outside the continent.

Some of President Tinubu’s ministers and aides will accompany him to the trip.
