Peter Obi, a former Labour Party presidential candidate, and his NNPP counterpart, Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, have now become members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).

The duo’s move comes after Obi made the announcement early Sunday morning to leave the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Obi and Kwankwaso joined the NDC for the purpose of opening up the road towards their ambition of becoming President in 2027.

Before joining the NDC, they were warmly welcomed at the NDC’s secretariat in Abuja by the party’s National Leader, Henry Seriake Dickson, and its National Chairman, Moses Cleopas.

The leadership of the party sees the latest development as a rising tide of confidence in the NDC across the country.
