President of the United States, Donald Trump, has stated that the United States forces have destroyed seven Iranian small boats in the Strait of Hormuz as tensions increase in the area.

He revealed this information on Monday via a post on his social media platform, which states that these small fast boats were neutralized by the United States forces during the conflict.

In this regard, Mr. Trump explains that the attack happened after Iran attacked forces and fired shots from their small fast boats at the ships associated with the project known as “Project Freedom.” One of these ships was said to be a South Korean Cargo ship in the region.

“Indeed, Iran has taken some shots at unrelated Nations with respect to the Ship Movement, PROJECT FREEDOM, including a South Korean Cargo Ship,” Trump noted. “Perhaps it’s time for South Korea to come and join the mission!”

It is worth mentioning that the commander of U.S. troops stated that they were able to sink seven of the vessels, which probably indicate that the fleet constituted a sizable part of Iran’s naval capabilities in the region.

“We have hit seven fast Boats. These are their only ships. Apart from the South Korean ship incident, there has been, at this moment, no damage in the Strait,” he stated.

Nevertheless, President Trump made a statement indicating that except for the mentioned South Korean incident, there has been no damage done to the ships transiting through the Strait of Hormuz.

Moreover, he revealed that the high-ranking officers of the United States Armed Forces, namely the Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine, will make a presentation on the situation at the upcoming press conference scheduled for tomorrow morning.

“Tomorrow morning, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Dan Caine, will hold a Press Conference. Thank you for your attention!”

Central Post Nigeria reports that, the Strait of Hormuz constitutes one of the most vital maritime chokepoints in the world.
